Webtoons
Social media is an interesting place. You can share a secret part of yourself with people you never thought you would have a connection with.
As an introvert, I usually don’t get to chance to talk about myself (or my love for dad jokes) a lot. But I wish I did. So I started drawing webtoons on Instagram.
Expressing my thoughts through the form of short webtoons was a lot of fun, so I want to share a few episodes below.
THE MIDDLE FINGER
An episode of A and B
B has chronic pain on her middle finger.
“Ouch!”
Her finger hurts the most when she wakes up.
So she cannot bend her middle finger in the mornings.
“Ouch, my finger!”
Whenever she tries to use soap,
Or get water in a cup,
It always end up with a ‘f**k you.’
So her middle finger needs a good stretching to feel better.
“One more! One more!”
This makes B imagine that one day her middle finger will stop working forever…
And this is her biggest worry these days.
B: “A, look! my finger hurts.”
A: “Are you using your pain to swear at me?”
B: “Of course not, why would I?”
TRUE LOVE
[Before marriage] Sitting far from each other…
“Aren’t you guys close friends?”
B and A…
[After marriage] Still sitting far from each other…
“Did you guys have an argument on the way here?”
… Looks a bit like a dry couple.
But of course, sometimes they show just how desperate their love is.
Like when they are in an extreme crisis.
A: “I can’t hold on anymore…”
B: “Here, take this last half of a bean”
When they are dying in the wild…
A: “My body is freezing up”
B: “Here, take my beanie. I can still hold on a little longer”
Or when a horde of zombies is taking down their house.
B: “The walls of our house are cracking! It’s so scary”
A: “I will cover here, run to the rooftop now!”
Or when there are a war in a dragon pit.
A: “I will cover for you! Run away now!”
B: “A! Nooooooo!”
B: “I never knew… you must love me so much!
A: “You didn’t?”
A: “I can’t live if you die.”
“And the game will end if we are both dead”

SHE DOESN’T LOVE ME
One day, A and B adopted an abandoned bear.
[One month later…}
A: “What are you guys doing here all day?”
B: “Look, I’m worried about something”
A: “What?”
A: “I think…”
“Bear doesn’t love me”
B: “She is just using me to keep her company, so she doesn’t feel lonely.”
A: “… …”
“It’s okay B”
A: “You don’t really love her either”
B: “?”
B: “… you are right! I don’t really love her either!”
“You are so smart!”
A: “I am”
B: “Then we are all good!”
A: “Yes, you guys are all good”
B “Hey, We don’t love each other! That’s a relief!”
Anyhow, it looks like B and Bear seem to get along pretty well.
