Back in 2014, when Serial was all the rage, a tiny mispronunciation at the start of each podcast started a meme: mailkimp. In an interesting move, MailChimp embraced the meme and created mailkimp.com.
While at Droga5, I got the opportunity to work on a new campaign for MailChimp – a campaign where MailChimp takes the meme to the next level. A series of films were created around misspellings or mispronunciations of MailChimp. Films like MailShrimp and JailBlimp.
I was tasked with creating the promotional material to support each spot – a lot of print, OOH, and microsites.
There were some slight tweaks after I left (mainly the tiny movie poster style credits at the bottom). You can find some of the final produced work here.
